I didn't use that method. I made sure I was connected to a good Wifi signal, then went to settings/about phone/software update and went from there. It detected 2.3.3 as being available (I was on 2.3.2). It then downloaded a largish file (about 43MB I think) and installed it. Took about 15 minutes for the whole process, due to various reboots being performed during the install.
