If I add my fb account to the phone through "accounts", will it still add all my fb contacts to my phone?
I hate (hated?) that "feature" and I hope we have the choice now, but don't want to chance having hundreds of old high school friends added to my phone.
Currently using the facebook app from the market to prevent this and sync my pix to get my peeps faces.
Can anyone confirm?

I believe when you add your Facebook account it automatically displays all your Facebook friends in your contacts(It did for me). You have the option to show or hide the contacts from your various accounts. Open your phone contacts and hit the menu button. Select display options. Click on the account whose contacts you want to show or hide and check or uncheck the "all contacts" box.

That's right you can change what contacts you 'view' but the fb contact still show up if you search or try to use the smart dialer. It really sucks if you have a ton of fb friends for whatever reason.
I read that they changed it for the nexus s but unfortunately didn't 'fix' it across the board.

I have sort of the opposite problem. I "added" my facebook account and in the add page it's check off. However when I go to "my accounts" Facebook isn't listed. I don't want all my facebook friends in my phonebook either, but it's annoying not having the photos and birthdays of anyone now.

Anyone know a way to fix this that does not involve doing yet another factory reset???

Oh and I can't remove the account from that page with the check marks either so that's not an option.
