Gingerbread bringing EXT4...will SF get this after update?

Gingerbread brings the ext4 file system to new devices | Android Central

Not really experienced enough to figure out how to read this article. Is it possible that one of the changes we will see with a 2.3 upgrade is the faster EXT4 file system?

I would love to but I am hesitant, for every thread I read on how great it is, I see another where issues are prevalent...I may do it after an official 2.2 release.

On a related note (I think) I rooted with RyanZAs z4 one click root app...Is that the "right kind" of root for an eventual lag fix?

well being rooted is being rooted. we can debate the merits of z4root. Mind you there is a One Click Lag Fix which is different from the ext4 voodoo lag fix stuff. As long as you have SuperUser access you are rooted

IMO if you have only used a one click root and have never rooted on computer then you shouldnt flash voodoo.
