Gingerbread is Released!

Apparently, no confirmed sightings on the N1 as yet...give it 2-3 months for it to officially appear on the Desire, if at all. Once on the N1 and/or source code is released then fugly stock ROMs will appear...

Think I'll be holding on for some Sense-based goodness :D

Yeah same here, I'll be rooting when I have a weekend where I can sit down and just do it, but I think I'm going to stick with a Sense-based one because I really like a lot of the Sense features. I just got FroYo a month ago so I can hold off for me.

That said.. does anyone have a list of changes for Gingerbread?

All listed here - Android 2.3 Platform Highlights | Android Developers

LeeDroid 2.2f has Froyo and Sense, I imagine (hope) he will be doing the same for 2.3 (once it has all been sorted for the Desire of course...)

That's because HTC released Sense with FroYo - not Lee combining them!!! You'll have to wait on HTC so re-do Sense to work with G'bread :D

Ah right, I never knew that :D. I don't mind waiting to be honest, no mad rush, as while some of the 2.3 features are great, it wasn't as big as the flash update in 2.2.

Yeah, I'm willing to wait for the Desire 2.3 release and then for some stable Sense-based ROMs of it. To be honest, after looking at the release notes, nothing terribly exciting jumps out at me.
