Help gingerbread issues! icons and long boot time?

so i have folders and some icons inside them are blank, like they are the generic android icon. i deleted my folder, made a new one and the problem still shows up. i checked and unchecked fast boot and the issue still occurs... what does fast boot exactly?? i restarted and powered off my phone and it takes a long time to boot up...and do u guys think restoring to factory default will fix these issues? thanks!!

actually can anyone try this out: make a folder on a homescreen, add a couple of apps that are stored on the sd card into that folder, then check fast boot and turn off the phone. double check in the folder if those apps still have their right icon.


then this time uncheck fast boot and turn off and repeat.

does anyone have this issue?

I'm noticing a much longer bootup time vs. Froyo...about twice as long...got stuck a the "4G" screen for a while. I almost took battery out, but then it finally started up. Kinda regretting upgrading between no Netflix, longer boot time, and apparantly less available memory to work with.
