Help gingerbread keyboard

ingo1

Newbie
Just wondering I'm so used to the phone keypad when typing rather than the qwerty keypad is this corporated in the new gingerbread keyboard, many thanks

Errr..

Well the Gingerbread keyboard is the android default keyboard, which the desire doesn't use anyway. The desire uses a HTC keyboard.

As yet, there is no gingerbread for HTC desire, so no one knows.

Well the HTC desire (HTC IME) has QWERTY, Compact QWERTY and Keypad as an option (full on multi-tap/t9 business)

I would love to have the stock android gingerbread keyboard for my desire. Waiting for it to become available without root.

No problems savvyray, if you have not already got it, swype kb is available for beta sign up again. You Mat prefer swype, I know I do. I use SlideIT kb, paid app, but if I didn't, I would use swype.

I installed the new Gingerbread keyboard and really like it but I've noticed a weird glitch with it... Although I set it as my default keyboard in all interfaces (e.g. Google Mail, Tweetdeck, messages) when I switch the phone on again in the morning it has reverted back to the "normal" HTC keyboard, and to use the new one I have to select it from my input methods again. Has anyone else noticed this?

Do you have it saved on your sd card?

yeah I just saw that and I signed up but I have no more room for it. I am currently trying to do the force apps 2 sd for froyo but am stalling with the drivers portion. If fully intend to try out swype. My buddy just got a my touch 4g and loves using it.

I dont have an htc anroid yet if too miss the classic fone keypad. what i installed however is this unique w10 keybard that i personally find quite useful.
