Root Gingerbread live wallpaper

I am running UD 3.1.1 and I want the Gingerbread nexus live wallpaper on my phone, I have tried a few methods, including running a switchlwp script with the terminal and dropping the livewallpapers.apk for it in my system/apps with root explorer, both with no luck. The script just gave me the original UD nexus wallpaper again, and dropping the .apk with root explorer just got rid of my live wallpapers all together. So does anyone know another method to get it on my phone?

in my experience all i've had to do was download the apk to my sd card from whatever source and install it.

i have the microbes live wallpaper and the nexus s scrolling blocks apk if you want them, not sure how i can get them to you on here though.

The .apk I tried installing wouldn't go, hmm. Not sure. Idk, mediafire, or megaupload them or something? haha
