Help Gingerbread Questions

I have two questions:

1. Is there any way to change the way scrolling in the app drawer works? I liked being able to flick to the bottom; but now I have to do it "page" by "page".

2. Has anyone noticed that they have no data connection, even when the notification bar shows 3G or 4G? I've had this happen to me multiple times since I got the update.

Other than that, everything is going great with GB. I have noticed that my phone is running much snappier, and I really like the quick settings menu.

Edit: Two other things I noticed that I really like:
- Snapping to 00, 15, 30, and 45 when setting a calendar event/alarm
- Ability to put events in different time zones

1. Not without rooting, just lke you couldn't scroll page by page before.
2. I am not on the OTA but using the radios from the OTA and sometimes I will get lag if I am just coming out of airplane mode but other than that no other issues.
