Help Gingerbread slows down start up

So far everyone has commented on how the new Gingerbread has made the eye at start up almost so fast you can't see it. On mine, it has made my restarts take forever. So much so that I think the phone is locked up and not going to start. Any idea why this is?

I have noticed that mine takes longer to start up as well as a little longer to completely shut down.

Mine is NOT faster at startup or shutdown, but the overall change GB has affected my phone is very positive. I truly love this phone now, if I could get it to switch to wifi and back again to my data connection without losing connection I'd be happy.

Oh yeah, and battery is still something to be desired for me, but I'll live with it.

I cant tell a huge difference in the way that my phone runs since the update, but my battery seems to be a little better than it was previously.

I did, however, notice that after I moved some apps to my SD card my phone tends to start up a little faster. It just takes a little longer to scan the SD card.

My start up also takes longer after the upgrade. Red Eye is there much longer than before.

I've noticed improvements across the board with most things with Gingerbread, but the startup time is not one of them - it still seems to take about as long as before.

right before the update rolled out verizon sent me a replacement phone. I was able to put 2.2 next to 2.3.6 and i can say that 2.2 is a lot faster on startup than 2.3.6. I was able to start 2.2 twice before 2.3.6 was able to finish starting
