I did the download a few days ago...said it was successful in the notification menu...now what? Phone still says I am running old version...
I even powered down the phone...still the same.

Am I supposed to do something else to 'install' it?

force the update again, you'll get a different pop up telling you about the update.
when I did mine I notice no difference and forced the update again and it started installing
