Root Gingerbreak rooted?

I updated to the new .591 and put the gingerbreak.apk file on my sd card to root my phone. I have done it 3 times but it still doesn't say that my phone is rooted BUT my phone does appear to be rooted because TiBu, superuser, Droid overclock, and bootstrap are all working.

Am I missing something here? Is it rooted or not?

No, you aren't missing anything. If apps that require root to work are working properly, then you are rooted.

Okie dokie bouchigo. I just wanted to be sure. I thought something might have gone wrong because I tried what you did and flash back to stock .588 but for some reason it wouldn't let me. I landed up just flashing the fully deodexed version of the .591 right over everything, flashed your new BWC theme, then rooting with the gingerbreak. I'm assuming it was a glitch because of the already deodexed .591?

Flahsing v4.5.591 by TBH, fully deodexed or not causes the loss of root, that's why you have to run Gingerbreak to regain root.

How exactly do you run Ginger Break? Through a file manager? The thread said to get it on your phone somehow??

So has anyone tried gingerbreak on leak .595? I have tried all 3 version of it with no luck. Am I doing it wrong???? installed as app and ran. any tips? Rebooted between install and running, everything I can think of.......

uhhhh....there is no need to use it on .595 since you have three versions

1 fully deodexed rooted
1 fully odexed rooted
and 1 fully stock non rooted which we will use to accept the official OTA if we choose.

unhh, obviously I have the fully stock version. just playing around with the gingerbreak app and was unable to get it to work. If I really wanted root, I am well aware of the available versions and would sbf back and go the rooted route. I haven't really needed root access, and am content with stock, just was bored and tried it.
