Root gingersense 3.0 to 3.5

upgrading from 3.0 to 3.5 do i have to do everything the same as a new rom or can i skip some steps. thanks in advance.

Make a backup, try installing without a wipe, if it doesn't work, restore and install with a full wipe.

The only reason I asked was because on xda he says try to avoid titanium restores but I'm not sure how else you can keep ur apps without using titanium.

I wouldn't worry too much about restoring market apps + app data.

i thought that ment earlier versions would be ok to flash over. I guess i just read that wrong.
