Root GingerSteem ROMs Random Issues/Requests Thread

Since the GingerSteem threads are becoming cluttered with non related to flashing problems (requests of apps, theme questions, etc etc) we're making this thread of all of that so the main threads can be clean and free of non flashing related things so people don't have to read non related things to find an answer to their flashing related problems. So if it has to do with GingerSteem ROMs but not related to installing it it goes here!!!! :)
 
ok let me start it off, hmmm i think i need to put my phone on the charger? :p No problems here so far.
 
This has become the flagship ROM of the esteem. I've seen people who know nothing about flashing that had friends install this on their phones. Thank you PG and all the others who put time and effort in all of our hands. :)
 
im so happy that it killed the REBOOTING issue... i bought my Esteem first day it came out...

ok requesting stock apps? like weather,memo,news..etc
 
Typically charging your phone faster will wear your battery out faster. Do what you can do is scale down the CPU to the lowest setting. The only problem I have is the ROM tool box conflicts with setcpu. I keep it just because you can change the boot animation on the fly. but I have started to customize my own ROM from the code so it's not that big of a deal. Other than that it's an awesome ROM
 
Hi, first I want to thank everyone who was a part of GingerSteem and GingerSteem Extreme. I love love love it.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a newb in this.

1) Is it possible to change the theme of the Notification pull-down menu? It looks pretty cool with the unlock screen, background, status bar, etc, but it's sometimes difficult to read.

2) Is it possible to remove the power-control widget on the pull-down menu?
 
In Gingersteem Rom, Every time I'd go to accounts and sync and click on Social + settings Instant reboot. never fails....

believe that may be bloatware that was removed from the roms. It opens up IM and Social, but if it is missing from your app folder, then it may be the problem. I dont have Gingersteem or GSE so not sure if that was removed or not.
 
You are correct. It is from bloatware being removed. It did the same thing to people who removed the apk before the roms were around myself included.
 
I've been using GSE and the bluetooth makes the settings apk FC everytime I try to connect to my laptop:confused: But other than than 5/5 just wish my phone wouldnt reboot after 1800 mhz its 1900 and up and I got the Plauge Extreme kernal which allows me to go up to 2.2 GHz

2.2 with no reboot? You are fortunate ...cant get past 1.9 :(
