Thanks for the hard work. I was worried after i bought this phone and did not see hardly any roms on it. granted its a little new. so im not stressing it. However i can not seem to get rid of this swype keyboard (god i hate that thing) Also in the drop down bar is it possible to change the name of the carrier or remove it all together. I really dont want to see MetroPCS everytime i pull the drop bar down. Also once i used the music player i noticed that shows up in the drop down as well and is stuck there. anyway to remove that? Lastly. Can someone fill me on the bluetooth. first thing i did when i finally got to my car was try to pair it to my stereo so i can stream some dubstepfm and it crashes on pairing every single time. Im not using the 2.2ghz oc kernel just the extreme package. the 1.5

i dont know if some of these issues were addressed in other threads i do plan on searching around for answers. but i figured while i was chiming in to say thank you id ask.
 
Update. I tried the 2.2ghz kernel still not not resolve the bluetooth however. I installed the blue tooth fix from gingerfusion 3.9 and it worked. I also found a way to remove the media player from the drop down. all in all this is a really nice rom. there are still some minor issues with apps failing like trying to add a word to the dictionary and a couple other minor ones. but nothing really big so far.

The kernels don't fix Bluetooth. Bluetooth works in them all. Its the themes. For reason when the settings.apk is themed it breaks Bluetooth. The fix you applied is just the stock settings.apk
 
so i installed gingersteem and now my phone is keeps looping the LG logo, how do i get out of this, Is there a manual way to get into recovery?
 
Not sure if anyone else is having this happen but over time my Esteem(which never had the reboot problem before) has started rebooting or sometimes just shuts off on its own. It does this with full 4g signal sitting idle with screen off. Does it non-overclocked. It started doing it with gingersteem extreme but i restored back to gingersteem regular (older version--never had a problem with this version before) and its still doing it. Any ideas?

The only time I have ever had rebooting issues is when I stayed overclocked..1.9 all the time . Running at 1.7 keeps battery temp down. Once my temp would reach say 93f it would reboot. Very heavy phone (abuser) I mean user..LOL

My battery was getting hot even with the phone idle sometimes with gingersteem extreme...seemed random. I never overclocked more than 1.2ghz and most of this happened at stock speed. The hot battery issue doesn't seem to happen on my older version of gingersteem though.

stock or not. all i know is i can stream in my car. im a happy camper.

same here dude iget a hot battery but mine reboots=/
