Android Expert
Hey guys,

I got Ubuntu 10.04 and Vista Dual Booted on my computer, and I want to start making stuff from source. I'm following the guide from Android's website (the one here) and it says I need git. It gave be a link to the git website and it told me to enter;

apt-get install git

In the terminal. Of course, I put sudo in front of it and tried to install git but it returned with:

luke@luke-desktop:~$ sudo apt-get install git
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package git is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package git has no installation candidate

I tried sudo apt-get update and tried sudo apt-get install git again, but the same thing happened. What do I need to do?

Thanks in advance :D

Edit: do I need to use ccache?
