Help Glalxy S4: Battery life and charging time

Hi all,

Once I got my phone the battery performance overall was great.

The innitial charging time was 1.5 hours and the battery would last lot longer than now.

Now I get like ~8 hours of my phone and it takes about 3 hours to charge.

I hope you could share some tips and experiences with me.

those threats were of some help, but I still dont udnerstand in particular why it take 3 hours to charge my phone?

Does that just happen to me only?

The first time you charged the phone the battery was most likely about half charged. The S4 has a fairly large battery, so it will take some time to charge.

Depends on how low the battery is. From 50% or so seems to take around 90 minutes with the OEM charger.

Are you using the OEM charger and cable?
 
first time i drained my battery from weeks of using it. it reached 2days and ++ hours (less than 3d) before it died this morning. reached 2 hours for fully charge (since the LED light and the battery icon signaled that its completed)

i left it locked and after another 2 hours, i got 1 text --my phone is on vibrate/silent mode here in the office, then as per checking, its now down to 99%.. weird.. got 100% full charged then with just 1 sms / vibrate, it went down to 99?
