I managed to get a bluetooth keyboard connected with an app but the connection keeps randomly dropping and even sticking the last key pressed for several seconds. It can be quite annoying.

1. You don't need special software to use a Bluetooth keyboard or mouse with Android 4+. It has built-in support. I'd remove the software.
2. It sounds like a crappy Bluetooth keyboard. I have a mini keyboard/trackpad combo that works perfectly on my phone and tablet.

I figured out the problem. I must have forgotten to click the connect button on the Bluetooth keyboard. This time, I clicked it both when searching for the device and when it was connecting and it has yet to disconnect randomly.
