Received my Verizon Galaxy Note 2 on November 29. Then travelled to several GSM-based countries with both the Note 2 and a Verizon Iphone 4s. Many times where the Note 2 was unable to data-roam (voice was fine) in the identical areas where the Iphone 4s had no issues. Spent a lot of time with Verizon people who said that GSM connection internationally is a known problem with the Note 2 and that Samsung is working on a software fix but I have been unable to confirm this with Samsung. While outside the country I tried changing mobile networks from "Global" to "GSM" and restarting phone each time. This did not help.
Has anyone else yet had the opportunity to travel internationally with their Verizon Note 2 and have you had the same problem? I have 30 days under my corporate plan to return the phone and if I cannot get the global data roaming issue resolved I will certainly exercise this option.
