Help gmail 2.2.1 update .apk?

I'm having trouble installing this. when i download this .apk and use astro to install it, i click on the upgrade and it gives me the warning that this will change the native application and i click ok and it begins to install it then says application not installed. what am i doing incorrectly? any advice would be much appreciated!

I installed this using dropbox and had no issues. Where is your download from?

that's what i did from the megaupload site. still wouldn't let me install the .apk via astro. i'm lost right about now.

you dont need astro to install it, if you used the default browser to download the file go to menu > more > downloads > gmail 2.2.1

When I do that it still says application not installed. I might just install skyraider to get all f the other goodies as well.
