Help Gmail 2.3.2 Not sending

Hi.

I have just updated to Gmail 2.3.2, and all of a sudden I can not send e-mail. The message sits in the Outbox "Sending".

I have scoured the forums for solutions, and have followed the usual instructions, namely Clear Data, Clear Cache, Clear Contacts but to no avail. If I uninstall the update, everything works perfectly.

Has any one else experienced these troubles?

Its fine for me. In fact I'm loving it as I can finally Send As different email addresses.

I have other problems in that it doesn't sync read status back to the server but the app shows as equipmentread. On next push, I receive 1 mail but have 5 unread.


Had to go back to previous version

At the moment, it seems like a buggy release. If you can downgrade, do so. Otherwise it may be a case of waiting for a fix.

Same problem here which started after the update a week or so ago. I had to uninstall the update back to the factory version and it works ok again. Tried 3 times to install the update and get it working.

Hi,

I encountered the same issue where I couldn't send emails after the update to 2.3.2. After a lot of troubleshooting and reinstalling, what I found fixed it for me was reverting my @gmail.com address back to @googlemail.com.

Immediately I was able to send emails from my phone and haven't had any further issues since.

I had this and would have done your suggestion if re-installing 2.3.2 hadn't worked for me.
