Root Gmail 2.3 Update?

Always a good idea to be safe and just move 2.2.1 to the /system/app.disabled folder and then update. (that and Titanium and nandroid backups)

Theres nothing new I found, so don't feel too giddy if you can't get it just yet guys, im sure adryn and rmk will get update.zip for their ROMs in the VERY near future.

Be aware that this version will break some functionality in Voice Search, specifically "note to self."

It looks like it only happened with the modded versions of search included in a few ROMs. For those that have the problem, uninstalling both apps and then reinstalling from the market seems to fix any issues.

Well there isn't anything jaw dropping I'll admit, but if you use gmail's priority mail system on your desktop, you might be glad to know that you can now go to menu > Go To Labels > Important to see your important and unread emails now.
