Gmail App Navigation

[toasty]

When you're viewing a message in Gmail using the default Gmail app, am I correct that there is no way to navigate to the next or previous message? In other words, if you want to view the next message, you have to hit back and the select the next message you want to view?

As far as I know you're correct. It's kind of annoying and you could use another 3rd party app which could give you that function to switch while viewing, but as for me I prefer the gmail app version versus a 3rd party because you can easily use all of the specific gmail functions (archive, labels, etc.)

That has been my experience as well. Kind of irritating that the gmail integration was better on my non-android Instinct than it is on the Hero. Can you flick messages left and right on newer versions Android.
