gmail app not receiving email. Please help!

Hi,
I'm having some trouble with my gmail app. Sometimes it just does not receive email. I tell it to manually refresh but still non of my new emails appear. When this problem occurs however, the app does still display the number of new emails in brackets at the top next to 'inbox'. Strange...

Even stranger is the fact that sometimes this app works fine. I have done all the obvious things (restart, task killers, wi-fi check) but I am yet to find a solution.

I know I could just use the HTC mail app, but I don't like it as much.

If your phone memory is low, I have experienced the same problem. Try deleting some apps, maybe that would help you solve the problem!

Ahh, that could be it! My memory is always fluctuating. Yet another reason to want froyo. :-( cheers! :-)
