Gmail app problems

Since doing a clean install of CheckROM Revolution HD and speedmod kernal my gmail app is giving trouble. It shows email count in the inbox but you cant see the emails. I cleared cache ect in applications which solve the problems for a little while but they return. Also some of the things from the kitchen such as boot animations do not load.And i have had a few force close messages. But apart from that i love this rom. Any suggestions?. Thanks
