Gmail app

I disabled the Mail app that came with the phone ( aka deleted the account). So now i am only using the Gmail app that came with the phone.

I looked everywhere and i dont seem to be able to find it, but is there a way to set a different value for how often the email gets updated?

I think it is automatic push and therefor can not be set down.

If you are referring to Gmail on the phone that gets pushed automatically to the phone every time you get an email. The pop email account you can set up every 5,10,15, ect.... to go out and look for new email.

Just turn off sync in settings>data sync and turn off notifications
