I got a mail from friend with one file in it and i can't find anywhare to save attachment i have just preview but it won't let me to save att.it says that there is.no preview app in phone....but its logic to me that it can download att.what ever format is,right?

Ok I found the solution for this there is a application that can save attachments right from gmail, but i'm not shure that i can upload it here..........

The app is called Save my attach......you just git preview button and you're gonna get an option for the app.....great stuff.post your word how it works when you try it.cheers.

t's a strange feature but Gmail app downloads only certain files (such as .jpg, .png, etc)
There are several ways to solve it. In addition to apps mentioned in previous post in this thread you may use the following...

Install Astro app and in it's settings/preferences click on Enable Browser Download. Astro will inform you that this is conflicting with preview, but dont't worry.

After this operation you'll still have just a Preview button when you open the mail with attachement in your Gmail app, but if you click on it you will have a popup asking you if you want to open the file with the associated application (Adobe Reader for .pdf for instance) or you will use Astro. If you choose Astro your file will be downloaded to download folder, where you can handle it further....

Hope it's simple

Bye

I recieved a gmail today with an .xls (MS Excell document) attatchment, went to bottom of email, press preview then menu and then save, Job done.

You can also just visit gmail.com in the browser, it defaults to mobile gmail, but you can choose the Desktop version, and you have all the functionality built in.

The biggest problem in attachments are rar files......try to download them and you will see that its imposible without those apps we mentioned.....

Dont think it exists.....i have a problem with rar files when trying to download from int.browser.....and from rapidshare or other host servers....i dont know is there any app for host servers...
