Help Gmail calendar sync issue

[bgadd]

I have a droid x and cannot get the gmail calendar to sync with my android calendar. Can use the mobile web version but not the phone calendar so thus i am not getting reminders, etc.
Help! Already installed the googel outlook calendar sync app but that is still not linking my gmail calendar to my phone

I can't figure out why it fixed it but.

I installed Smooth Calendar widget on my phone, and it works now. Might just be a WTF moment but it seems to work.

only thing I can't do, is get Contact birthday's and anniversaries to show on calendar without me adding it manually.
