Gmail chat and FB chat apps?

Is there any Google mail chat app? I cant initiate chat on my current Gmail app, I can only reply once somone else starts conversation.

Also is there any free app I could use for facebook chat? My basic one doesnt support chat, and chat in the browser on the phone is annoying!!

Not sure about gmail, the official facebook app includes chat.

I don't use it loads so don't take my word on it but I've found it to have no bugs that I've noticed...
