Before I had the HTC Desire I already had all my contacts in Gmail
Once I got the Desire my gmail contacts appeared on it automatically.
But now what I have noticed is that there is some format issue between the way the phone numbers are and how the Desire phone dials:
phone numbers are set up as +country code (area code) number - eg +61 (04) XXXXXXXX
When I try to call a contact, the phone dials as above and tells me the number cannot be dialed.
So either I have to reformat my numbers in Contacts or I have to configure the phone with my country code and area code so that it is smart enough to know how to dial out????
