Root Gmail delete on phone - not on server?

Ok, so I'm posting here because I think this has to do with something done while being rooted.

I'm not 100% how long this has been taking place (maybe a week or less), but when I delete gmail emails, they remain unread/undeleted when I open gmail on my computer.

I believe yesterday or the day before I removed touchwiz. I read somewhere to hit refresh in the gmail app menu, so I did and got a.. ahhh ok just did it and getting a FC on

android.process.acore

Sooo looks like removing touchwiz ruins any syncing capabilities?

*edit*
I re enabled touchwiz apk and rebooted: still not syncing my delete/read status

Also, after investigating further, on my gmail app i have Inbox(12) up top, implying that i have 12 undread messages. These 12 message show up online as bold/unread online, while they are already marked as read/grayed out in the gmail app on my phone.

I hope this makes sense lol

Ok so I seem to have gotten this to work by clearing the cache and data from gmail and gmail storage under settings->applications

How long does it usually take before the gmail app auto syncs with the server. I know it's like an on-demand type action and not on a schedule like the FB sync is, right?

I ask this b/c im trying to test it by going into unread mails and seeing if they show up as read online. It does work right away if I hit the refresh in the options, but i just wonder if it's going to work on it's own

*edit*
yeah I think I doubt my capabilities too much. It works now, though I do have touchwiz back again.. now to see if i have success without twz
