Gmail force Closes after un-rooting

[DDG]

I un-rooted so I could trade phone. I am now running version 2.2.2. Build # FRG83G
Gmail force closes whenever I try to open it
"The application Gmail (process com.google.android.gm ) has stopped unexpectedly."
I cleared the cache. No help. Rebooted several times. No help.
Any ideas?

Done all the updates?

Yes.

I'm traveling this week, so I need the phone. I guess when I return, I'll do a factory reset.
