Help GMail issues

I've had this issue since I got the phone and now it's pissing me off. I chaged the password on my desktop for my gmail account and now I cannot access my gmail from my phone. It keeps asking my to input the letter that I see, I do, (yes it's accurate) and it keep asking me to imput the letter. It's acting as if I didn't put the correct letters in. I've done it 15 times and still won't let me in.
Any help would be great.

i certainly can understand your frustrations.

clear cache on the mail app in the manage applications tab and try again.

also i would try to change your password via a computer , clear cache on the phone and then resync and attempt again...

That did not work on the phone. Is syncing my only option at this point?
