Help Gmail keeps force closing

All,

I have seen places where they say this is fixed but it just started happeneing on my Droid Inc two days ago. I click gmail app and it automaitcally force closes (process com.google.android.gm) and in the stack trace it errors on java.land.IncompatibleClassChangeError

I have cleared my cache and data from gmail, turned off auto sync, turned it back on, rebooted, uninstalled a bunch of apps, ensure there is space on my phone.(all in tons of orders)

I dont know how to fix this, does anyone know?

I figured out a fix, Uninstall all Gmail updates in the market and then open the app. Your email will work again; then you can re-download the updates....

not sure it will work for everyone but hope so! this sucked while it was happening.
