Help Gmail not properly syncing

Recently I noticed that my gmail and google voice is no longer syncing like it did before. As in I'm no longer getting notifications on time. Sometime I never get them. I gotta manually check my gmail now by tapping on the gmail app. Notifications are on. And its not my WiFi. I tested gmail by sending an email to myself and my other device receives it instantly. Anyone know why?

OK so I think I managed to solve my own problem lol. A couple of things that I think helped were removing my gmail Accounts and putting them back on my phone again. I also cleared data from the apps I think were causing it to malfunction. But I think the main thing that was causing all my notifications to malfunction was an light notification app called "light manager". Uninstalled it and now I seem to get all notifications again!
