Help Gmail not syncing

Can't figure it out, worked fine up till a couple days ago. Gmail no longer syncs, I've done everything from clearing cache, data, deleting Google account, recently installed apps, etc. Still can't find the problem - any suggestions??

FWIW I did get sync back after deleting my Google account and adding back but only lasted for an hour or two...

Starting to think this might be wifi related. I just reset my router and when my phone switched to cellular data it synced...

have you tried doing factory reset? I had a problem with google sync in my galaxy tab. I mean i wanted to change my account and it wont accept my new account. how hard i tried it failed. but then i had no option, i made a backup of everything(files, pictures , videos etc) and did a factory restart. Then I added my new gmail account and everything was fine.

if you would like to try this option you could do it.

Thanks for the reply, but really not interested in a factory reset, too much effort. Will probably go for root if this doesn't resolve itself soon.

On another note (no pun intended) this morning I switched off wifi and everything synced, looks like I'm not getting notifications from anything over wifi. Also by everything I mean non-Google services like forum and news apps...

I now believe the problem is more wifi related than app related...

Wife's, sister in law's, and friend's S3s work fine on our router but not my Note. Left the house today and as soon as I got it of range and 1x cell service kicked in I received all my updates...Need advice.
