First time poster here - also first new smartphone so please forgive if this is a stupid question...tried searching but don't see any other topics.
Just wondering, I noticed when I'm at home on Wifi with Mobile Network turned off - when I receive email to my Gmail (also using the HTC mail widgit), I'll get a notification tone even if the phone is sleeping. However, I tested and when I switch off Wifi to 3G, I will still get the notification of email but only when the phone is not sleeping. If I wake up the phone within few seconds I'll get the notifications. Anyone else notice this? Is there a way to get email notifications while on the mobile network even thought the phone is sleep? I believe I have it set to check every 15 min...thanks in advance for any help
