Help gmail problems - HTC incredible 2

Hello,

This is my first submitting a post. I searched and searched and could not find any help. :(Last night and this morning both my gmail and market apps were not opening. The market app would flash a white screen and then go back to my home screen. When i tried to open up gmail it would say "this account is not configured to sync automatically. press menu>refresh to synch mail once or press home and touch settings>accounts and sync and configure this account to sync mail automatically. When i went to add my account it then gave me a warning saying this account already existed. Hearing about the new market i then forced an update, but it won't let me go in because it is saying i don't have an account. I click yes to create one and it just goes back home.:confused:

Did i miss something? Did i do something completely stupid and mess up the gmail configuration. Not really sure what is going on. I would rather not do a factory reset so if anyone has some answers that would be great. :)Thanks!
 
I am having the exact smae problem as you are. Happened last night out of nowhere. I'm working on trying to figure it out now but not having any luck. I"ll let you know if i figure something out..... good luck....

Starting Saturday night, my Gmail isn't syncing reliably unless I manually refresh it on my phone. I wonder if they problem isn't just something on their end, not ours. I'm guessing it is...
 
I have been having issues all week with gmail, it wont sync unless I do it manually, I thought it might be something with the wireless but it has been happening on mobile network as well.

Please help.
 
I'm having the same issue with Gmail as everyone else - along with my Google calendar not loading on my calendar page.

Anyone figure this one out yet?? :confused:
 
I have run into similar issues. Fixed by restoring a backup of a previous version of gmail with titanium. Also had success with just going into settings>manage applications>gmail>uninstall updates.
These are the only things that have worked for me.
 
I had a similar issue yesterday: Gmail on the phone could not send or receive emails. The e-mail I sent to myself or to another account did not show up. The emails that I sent to my gmail address also never appeared.
When I manually attempted to sync, the sync icon showed that it is attempting to its job for a long time. Then after a while a little exclamation mark showed up next to the manual sync button, saying that
it is experiencing some problem while syncing, Or something like this.
Then I rebooted the phone and everything started working well .

All my previous e-mails popped right up.

I have no idea what caused the problem.

HTC incredible. Settings...applications...manage apps...downloaded...I uninstalled Adobe Acrobat updates, DO NOT UNINSTALL THE PROGRAM. It worked. I hope I can re-install the undates at a later time. I tried everything on the websites I read and nothing worked. Try it, I hope it works for you. I uninstalled gmail updates, google earth as instructed by others and nothing. I deleted my text messages...nothing. I cleared cache on gmail and some others...nothing. I choose the largest program (besides flash), (Adobe Acrobat) and uninstalled updates...it worked immediately and synched everything, gmail worked again and synched, low memory disappeared. I'm a genius! No, it was dumb luck. I really hope this works for you because I couldn't find a damn site that said how to solve these problems. Good Luck.
