Gmail Push Email stopped working

I've had no problems with push email from gmail to my Desire since I had it - about 2 months ago.

Today though it's not popping up notifications.

I've tried clearing the gmail cache but still the same.

Is anyone else having issues? Does anyone know if it's my device or google issue?

Have u checked that sync is still activated? U could try restoring to default settings if nothing else works. No problems with gmail or mail on mine

I'm currently having some issues with gmail. it's not pushing my mail through but when I hit refresh they all come through.... started around 5pm uk time today.

My mate has just started having this problem and I had a good look at his settings and couldn't find anything wrong.. odd.

Will be interested to find out what's going on.

I have the same problem. I have Background and auto -sync both enabled. Tried sending myself emails and it doesnt work

Well, it seems to have fixed itself now - looks like problems with google servers if other people were having the same problem too. Good thing I didn't hard reset my device..

I was having this problem on my EVO today. Someone suggested to make sure GTalk is still running (don't have to be signed in though).

Same here, mine is now working again. Perhaps it was googles servers ?

This happened to me the other day when I got low on space,as soon as I freed up some space it started syncing again.

By free up what did you do? I have tried deleting apps, and moving them to my SD card but nothing.. I do have a ton of pictures, did you delete pictures and videos?

He means deleting apps or moving them. As soon as the desire's free internal memory gets to around 15MB, gmail will stop receiving emails so make sure you have this much space.

If you have more space than that, look at clearing data via manage applications for gmail.
