Help Gmail push/sync stopped working...

My Gmail push mysteriously stopped working a few days ago. I manually synced and it worked fine, and the mail shows up fine on the website, but the automatic sync between Gmail and my phone has stopped. I've cleared the cache but that didn't help. I said to clear all data and now when I try to access my Gmail, it just says, "Waiting for sync, Your email will appear shortly." Is anyone else having this problem? I've got nothing now.

Figured it out with some more Google searching. The sync was turned off! Don't know how that happened. Every other menu option related to synchronizing email was set correctly.


1. Long-press on the Home screen
2. Choose Andriod Widgets
3. Pick Power Control
4. Make sure the 2nd-from-the-right option (Data Sync I think it's called) is turned on.
5. Voila - synced Gmail.


Again, I have NO CLUE how that got turned off.
