Gmail Question

Does anyone know how to make Gmail refresh automatically and update new emails in the inbox after a certain amount of time? I assume it's there somewhere but I'm too dumb to find it!

Hmmm I don't think I want to auto sync everything though. I think that would keep data going thru the phone and draining battery. I just want the gmail to refresh maybe every 2 hours or so. Anyway I can do that?

Try getting a widget app. They have all sorts of Widgets you can create so you don't have to dig into the settings.
I have a widget for sync. I go to my home screen , press the widget to enable sync. After 30 sec. I turn it off. I'm synced.
I don't know if there's one that will allow for a " set the profile and forget it" though. Anytime you allow an app that much control they want more permission(control of actual phone functions) .

Just turn your data on and off. If you are worried about your battery and syncing your account, get a switch that turns your data on and off. Problem solved

I mean I use the power widget to control my data, but I don't understand how to make Gmail sync at regular intervals. I want to be able to have my Gmail sync every 30 minutes or 2 hours or whatever, not synching every second of the day. Right now it only syncs when I go to the app and refresh it. I'm pretty sure it used to be possible but I can't find anything in the settings that would change this.
