Help Gmail search does not work

[kings92000]

Lately I have had an issue where I cannot search my gmail messages using the native Gmail app. I also cannot view "labels" such as Starred or other labels I have set up.

I uninstalled the updates from recents changes to gmail and still no luck.

Any ideas?

Have you tried uninstalling then reinstalling from the Market?

Do you use gmail widget from LauncherPro? If yes, remove it and gmail search will work.

That did the trick. Thanks!

I tried all of the fixes above. I use LauncherPro but do not use any gmail widget. I don't even see a gmail widget available, actually.
When I search, the screen just displays "Loading conversations..." with no results.

Did you ever figure this out? I am having the same problem.

EDIT: Nevermind, I posted this for my friend and turns out he did have Launcher Pro. Removing the Gmail widget worked for him too! Thanks darekd!

Found this via search, worked for my EVO too. Was driving me nuts. Thanks.
