Help gmail two factor authentication

I signed up for this after two of my old junk gmails got hacked. I have too many business contacts in my personal one to allow it to get hack. The only issue is that now I can receive the emails on my phone but I get a

"Gmail message not sent - Authentication error sending"

message when I try to send. Also I like to "share" a webpage with myself for review at a later date and that feature is not working if I use gmail to send it.

Any ideas? Anyone else having/had this issue?

I tried using this and it ended up being a nightmare for me on my Droid. It works well for an account you use on a computer only I assume, but if something goes wrong on your phone you're screwed. It's a nice idea, but not on a mobile Android device.

Did you create a device specific pass code for your mobile device? If no, then this may be your problem...In the setup process for the two step verification there is a step that allows you to create device specific pass codes which are different (long string of random characters) from your standard password these are only entered once on your mobile device...

100% correct we recently moved to google apps premier for our company and all IT admins had to turn this on, it does work but you have to setup your unique pass codes for your devices email and of course install the google authenticator.

I had done this and I was receiving gmail without an issue but was not able to send. I deleted the account and then reentered and it seems to be working fine. Will update if it decides to change its mind. Thanks for the help!
