Help Gmail Use

I'm wanting to have "Push" email but when I set my Infuse up last week and used the AT&T client (lower left of the tool bar) I can only choose minute increments (10, 15, 20, 30...). I have deleted that account and used the Gmail app from the "Applications" menu and the best I can tell it is accepting push just fine. Downside I now have 2 email buttons on the home screen one from AT&T in the tool bar and one up screen in added Icons. Would love to move the Gmail icon down to the tool bar and kick out the AT&T button, not had the phone long enough to want to root or dig around to do it now but would consider it later. Any other ideas or have I missed something.

Easy fix. Just go to your homescreen, press on applications on the bottom. Onc thre press the menu button. It should pop up and say view type. Select customizable grid. Then press the menu button again. Press edit. Then Take whichever apps you want off the bottom 4, and replace them with whatever you please.
