GN2 protective wrap instead of case?

Finally got my Note 2 yesterday. I'm using a flip/book case and I hate it!
It's awkward, I keep thinking maybe it's just an adjustment period but I'm ready to burn the case. Hate Hate Hate! :p

Not sure another case will be better since the phone is so huge. I wouldn't mind using a leather pouch and just using the phone naked, but I am like a 5 year old.

I had a Zaag wrap on one of my phones about 10 years ago and didn't really like the feel of it then... Like a screen protector only over the entire phone. Do they even make those anymore? Does anyone know of a really good company to go through? Somewhere that installs would be best for me. Any brilliant ideas?

What I've found to work the best is a clear crystal screen protector for the screen and ZAGG for the rest of the phone. The feel of the ZAGG screen protectors is irritating however it protects pretty well against scuffs/scratches. Having that style material on the body of the phone will help it from getting scuffed as well as give you a better grip on the phone when using it. As the Note 2 is large, having that little extra grip on it goes a long way IMO. I believe ZAGG/Ghost Armor are the only two reputable brands that make skins for the entire phone. There are numerous other retailers that make full body skins as well but most of them are just for looks, not much else. This time around, I'll be using a full case and a screen protector so I should be good. Seeing as how big this phone is, the probability of dropping it seems to be a little higher then your other phones. I just can't trust a skin to protect this phone.

Keeping a regular screen protector is a good idea! Looks like the Zagg for the GN2 is only available online (I called around to a few local places) But Radio Shack did say that if I brought it in they could install it for me. I think I'll buy the full body coverage and just request that they leave my current screen protector there instead of installing that part of the Zagg.

Last time I had the Zagg thing it did not hold up well to all the animal hair in my house and it began peeling after a few months. I think they are rather easy about their warranty stuff though. Hopefully this phone will fare better with it.

Been a couple weeks for this thread, but I do have Ghost Armor on my N2. I couldn't find a case or screen protector that I liked right away and there is a kiosk in the Mall for Ghost Armor. I thought I would just do this till I found a case and protector I want. Well, first of all, they install it and it's perfect. They are not easy to install; I have tried. You can't see it at all and it's crystal clear. Better than any screen protector I've ever had. And the feel is nice, it gives a little better grip to the phone, but not sticky like Zagg. So unexpectedly happy with this. Carry the N2 in a belt clip case and is working great and like having a naked phone, but better. I might buy a very low profile kickstand case someday if I can fine one I like that works in portrait. Anyway thought I'd respond to this.

I ordered the zag one and was unable to install the sides. So it was back for a refund yesterday. I bought a fly grip to use since I don't really want to put a case on it.

Have you had any problems with your S Pen since having the ghost armor installed??

I ordered the Phantom Skinz full body wrap, with Matte finish for the back. My brother has been using it for his S3, and has been very happy with it. The main reason he got the Matte finish is that it makes the back side less slipery. I ordered it for the same reason, so I'm less likely to drop it when I'm using it one handed. The screen protector on my brother's S3 looks very good as well, so I'm going to try it before I order the Steinheil Oleophobic one.

Try xtremguard.com

They are very inexpensive...they have coupon codes for 80% off if you buy 3. Easy to apply, very durable, and does not take away from the phone!

I think I got like 3 full body ones for $12 !! Much better than Zagg charging like $30 for one!

What coupon code did you use? Thanks for this find! :)

ok nevermind about the coupon code I used 80off3 and got 2 FULL body protectors for $6 and free shipping *Happy Dance* Now if I can wait to put the fly grip on until these come in the mail...

I got a Ghost Armour screen protector today, a little pricey at $20 for the protector and $5 for the install, but I wanted something good and didn't want the headache of trying to put it on.

It's still got some bubbles in it, but they claim they will go away within 24 hours. They said if they don't I can bring it back with in 7 days and they will reinstall it. They also give you a life time warranty with it.

Seems like it's worth it though, that's a lot of screen to protect. I wanted to cover the entire phone in black matte, but I really was too cheap to spend the extra $20.
