Help GNex and RFID locks

Hi,

I was wondering if my Nexus would work with this:

It seems to use MiFare cards. Is there any way to make it such that the NFC in my phone unlocks the door? I know that the NFC standard is technically based on the RFID standard and that they are inter-operable at certain frequencies, but I do not know much else.

i heard it was a possibility but the thing is you need the phone to push the code out. so yes it will work i believe if you have an app that will actually push code to unlock the door

Hmm...so I looked it up and they operate on the proper frequency (13.56 MHz) for NFC.

So...yeah. I need to find an app that will output the code as opposed to read it. Maybe it is time for me to get serious about learning to code for android? The jump from plain Java cannot be that hard....
