Help Go SMS Facebook Photo Issues in ICS

So, ever since the update to ICS, almost none of my contact photos are showing up in Go SMS. They show up everywhere else! The only contact photos that DO show up are ones that are NOT the result of Facebook integration (so basically just my mom and dad, lol.)

Is there something I'm missing in the settings to get Go SMS to recognize the Facebook-linked photos? Thanks in advance!

I've been looking for the answer to this for the longest time and from what I understand - I believe ICS prevents third party apps from using data from Facebook or something like that. I'm sure I don't have it completely right, but as far as I know it is not a setting and you're not doing anything wrong. I've been searching long and hard for the answer for this for months. It's not just Go SMS. It also affects Handcent SMS as well - and even some other things like the Go contact widget..

The only solution I've been able to do so far is to sync my Google contacts with my Facebook photos - so this way Go SMS pulls the photo from my Google contacts. It's not ideal and I'm not thrilled of it, but I am tired of looking at a grey silhouette to represent everyone in my Go SMS. lol

Blast! What do you mean by syncing your Google contacts with your Facebook photos? Do you mean manually going to every contact in Google and assigning them a photo? Or is there a way in GOOGLE to link the photo directly so that the phone doesn't have to look at Facebook to get the photo?

There is a desktop app out there (I'm sure there's more than one) that copies your facebook friends profile pictures to your google contacts. So, after you do that - you're phone is going to auto detect the picture from google contacts and display that picture. The bad thing about this is that the pictures won't update unless you sync on your desktop again. Also, I wasn't thrilled having to use my google and facebook login info in the desktop app but it appears safe.

Like I said, it's not ideal but it'll do for now. It's not perfect and I hope this is one day remedied somehow.
