It's been a while since I used go, but there should be an option under the settings to apply the time stamp.
Otherwise either a clear cache or an entire uninstall followed by a reinstall should fix this issue.

I know there was just an update for it today but don't remember what fixes were in the update.
Did this happen out of the blue? Can you go into the conversation settings and see if you can change the settings for the timestamp? (like color/font etc)

Worse case scenario is to uninstall/install it or go into manage applications and clear the data and cache for it. But you will lose your settings for it, if any but I think you can back them up within the app.
