I installed GO SMS on my Infuse. How do I turn off notifications and duplicates to the stock SMS service in the unrooted phone?

Try going to the stock messaging app and turning off notifications in its settings. I don't have this handset, but on stock android that works.

I did turn off the notifications and that keeps both from popping up; however, the same message appears in both message boxes. Is there any way I can only get messages in the GO SMS box rather than receive duplicates?
