Help Goggle calender notifications not working

This doesn't seem to be affecting every phone, because a friend of mine's Epic phone is receiving notifications, ( SMS and email) but I am not. Just wondering how many others are having this issue, and if there may be a fix?

I too have problems with the notifications. Sometimes they work as normal, sometimes they are late, sometimes they never come at all. I haven't found a fix. Some people install 3rd party calendar apps, like Jorte. That might be the only way to be sure to receive a notification. I have my calendar entries sent to pop up and email me (I set this via the Google Calendar website on my computer), so I just live with the notifications not be reliable. At least I get an email.

I decided to setup phone alarms in the Calender app, for all my repeating notifications. That way even if Goggle takes a dump, I get a reminder.

Do you mean you setup text notifications?

No text and email notification from Goggle has NOT been reliable. I set up alarms on my Epic phone, in the stock calender app.
