Root Going back from custom ROM

I flashed TaintedTenzo2.1 on my phone yesterday, however, when I partitioned my card for a2sd it erased everything (which I apprently missed in all of my reading on the subject). I had done a nand backup, but of course that is gone now too. So my very basic question is this: if I decide to not use this custom ROM anymore, can I just delete it and have my phone go back to stock, knowing that I will need to reconfigure everything? I may try other ROMs, but am undecided at this point on what to try. I like TaintedTenzo, but also haven't had much time with it to customize it, so it feels foreign. I just want to know I have this option if I don't like custom ROMs.

Yeah you somewhat screwed yourself with the partition thing. Well, you can't just delete a rom and be back to stock. You have to flash something else. Since you don't have your nand backup, you can just flash PlainJaneT2 which is essentially stock with the ability to OC and use A2SD (both optional). If you want to actually unroot and go back to stock, then that is a different procedure (search for 2.1 RUU).

Well crud. I had a feeling that I messed this up. Well, at least I have plenty of options for custom ROMs, right?!? I'll keep PlainJaneT2 in mind, because I think unrooting and going back to stock will be way over my head.

Oh yeah, you have lots of rom options... no worries there. If you want to stay more or less with the stock feel, then try xtrSense, or as I said earlier, PlainJane.

It's also worth mentioning that it's a good idea to backup that SD card to your PC every now and then... I'm sure you know now, lol.

Thankfully I have backed up my sd card in the past on my PC, or else I would have lost all of my pics and music. I just never made a backup after running nandroid backup to have had a copy of that. It would just figure that with all the research and reading I did prior to rooting and going to a custom ROM, that I would screw my phone up; and my husband who rooted his Droid on a whim (and nearly bricked it with Sapphire) has had no issues. That's what I get for trying to be educated and trying to understand something PRIOR to making huge changes!

I did the partition thing without backing ANYTHING up. Lost my pics and everything! Live and learn I guess. Am running WW 4.6 right now and having a few issues. I'm thinking about going back to PlainJane or XtrSense.
